Participants
pursue the EMBA degree while maintaining
current employment. Each course will be
delivered within four days over one weekend
(Thursday to Sunday). This intensified format
will allow students to remain fully employed
and instill rich knowledge in a short period
of time. Classes will focus upon practical
issues.

Outside of Class |
|
Students will
be expected to prepare material before arriving
in Beijing for classes. This will generally
require the equivalent of one day's time
of academic preparation. Students will be
expected to complete this material after
the final exam/final project for the previous
course is completed. It is important that
all assignments for the previous course
are completed before the student begins
preparing for the next course.

| Teaching
Method |
|
All
courses are taught in English by professors
from The University of Iowa and Purdue University
with simultaneous translation. Local professors
will be assigned to each course to help
facilitate communication between professors
and participants as well as answering specific
questions. Courses are delivered via lecture
and case study, accompanied by group discussion,
simulations and seminars.

Study Trip |

Participants
will complete part of the program on campus
of the University of Iowa, visit food and
agribusiness companies, and participate
in golf tounament and attend the graduation
ceremony. |

| Location |
All
course activities will take place
in the Pan-Pacific Tower of The Chinese
Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
The Pan-Pacific Tower is a 4-star
standard with complete conferencing/training
facilities and lodging arrangement.
Students and faculty will have full
access to facilities of CAAS including
libraries and computer centers.
